Frenchmen Street is one of the premiere attractions in New Orleans. There is no street like it in the world. We have compiled this list of fun things to do so you are fully prepared!
DINNER AND JAZZ
Many of the restaurants on Frenchmen Street have live music. Before 10pm you can catch a great jazz band performing in the dining room while you eat some great New Orleans food.

LATE NIGHT LIVE MUSIC
After 10pm on Frenchmen the party begins. Most of the venues hosts high energy funk and brass bands and the atmosphere and vibes get turned up a notch.
Many of the restaurants clear out the tables to create more dance floor space so bring your dancing shoes!
LATE NIGHT DJS AND DANCE PARTIES
If live music isn't your thing there are several clubs where you can find DJs overseeing some great dance parties on Frenchmen Street.

On weekend nights a few of the clubs on the street have public balconies where you can post up and watch all the action from above!
STREET BANDS AND POETS
On most nights you can find a brass band on the corner and array of poets lining the street selling their poetry to whoever might want a poem.
GET SOME LOCAL MUSIC
The Louisiana Music Factory located at 421 Frenchmen Street has a vast collection of local indigenous music for sale.
Visit The New Orleans Jazz Museum at the Mint on the corner of Esplanade and Decatur Street. Find out about the history of jazz music in the city where it started, see a show or exhibit, or do some jazz yoga or pilates!
MIXOLOGY AND COCKTAIL CLASSES
Take a Mixology Class and learn how to make and then DRINK some tasty southern cocktails. Every Thursday and Saturday evenings The Maison offers a beginner course in the art of making the perfect drink!
GET A TATTOO
Get a tattoo to forever remember your drunken late night adventure in New Orleans at 1 of 2 shops on the street. Downtown Tattoo and Electric Ladyland.
SEE A BURLESQUE SHOW
There are 2 weekly burlesque shows on Frenchmen Street every week.
Saturday night at 7pm is 'Talk Nerdy To Me', a burlesque show centered around sci-fi, comic books, and fantasy culture.
Sunday night at 7pm is the Opulence Hour in the upstairs room at Maison. A more traditional classy burlesque show.
